Privacy policy

The site publishes market-intelligence reports. It runs no advertising, no profiling, and contains no forms that collect personal data. You can read everything on it without creating an account. The only optional data processing is the analytics described below — and it stays off until you agree to it.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.; parent: Google LLC, USA) to understand which reports and chapters get read. Analytics is off by default: no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set until you choose “Allow analytics” in the consent banner. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

When enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. `_ga`, `_ga_*`) and processes usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location (IP addresses are not stored by GA4), device and browser type. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google’s privacy policy.

You can withdraw or change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Your choice itself is stored locally in your browser (no cookie is sent to us for it).

The site is hosted on Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA). Like any web server, the hosting infrastructure processes technical request data — IP address, requested URL, browser type, timestamp — to deliver pages, secure the service and diagnose faults. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is kept only as long as the hosting provider’s operational retention requires. Vercel processes data under EU Standard Contractual Clauses; see Vercel’s privacy policy.

The newsletter signup and contact links on this site lead to our main website, atmosphere.cool, where the corresponding data processing is described in its own privacy notice. This site itself collects no contact details.

Reports cite external sources and link to other ATMOsphere properties. Once you follow a link to another site, that site’s privacy policy applies.

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for our seat, the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
